Anick Fernández, (Mexico 1959), visual artist and printmaking teacher.
Her main medium is printmaking though occasionally she uses other techniques. She teaches non-toxic printmaking techniques since 2014.
She feels a special connection with nature. Her work explores the textures, the patterns, the play of light and shadow and the power of regeneration of nature. She is committed to protecting the environment and uses recycled materials to build her printmaking plates.
She has participated in many exhibitions and art fairs in different countries: Mexico, Spain, Portugal, France and Canada.
She has been awarded several prizes for her work: 1st Printmaking Prize at the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid, in 2016 and 2017 and the 1st Prize International Miniprint Biennial, Santander, Spain in 2018.
She actually lives and works in Ontario, Canada.
