Stories of Ebro (video project) (NAT Art Residence - 05-2022)
Shadows chatter and the wind sings.
What is it that you say?
I don’t know this distant voice,
your history, your song.
But I listen well as you speak,
attentive to your truths,
my eyes and ears witness
to the stage before me,
to the shadow paintings of Ebro.
Wind (a performance piece in collaboration with the wind and fabric)
At the mountain site of El Mirador Fuente del Chivo, I was consumed with the power of the wind. In an attempt to capture it, I stood holding the reigns of the fabric’s edge as gestures formed, creating a collaborative story of me, the wind and the mountain.
Mossy Rock (a performance piece in collaboration with the mossy rocks)
Visiting the playa, the rocks wore cloaks of bright green moss. Immersing myself amongst them, I wore my own cloak of blue, integrating with the sea.
The residency presented an opportunity to fully immerse myself with nature, opening up a range of possibilities. With each experience, I was reminded of the spirit and power of the cave.
Manifestation (Traces - 04/2021)
Time is fleeting.
One moment perpetuates the next.
The shadows trip and fall as the air moves between them.
Our time is spent here through experience
and each one has its own.
